KYDSO

Defining a new AD group

You can have KYDSO create new groups in the Active Directory.

To do this, select Order without person assignment in the Order menu.

The wizard for the selected action starts and guides you through the process.

  1. Framework data

The values Customer Costcenter and Customer Location must be entered in the Costcenter and Location fields, otherwise the AD group cannot be ordered.

  2. Article selection

Search for the article AD Group and select it.

You can define several AD groups at the same time by clicking Select article again until the desired number of AD groups is in the article list.

  3. Additional data

Enter the requested information for the AD group to be created.

These must clearly identify the AD group.

  4. In the last step, check your entries again and trigger the order.

During order processing, the system automatically checks whether the AD group already exists in KYDSO or has been ordered. If the sAMAccountName or Common Name of the group already exists in the specified Container, the order is canceled and the reason for the cancellation is stored in the order details.

If the AD group is not yet known in KYDSO, it is created both in the KYDSO assets and in the Active Directory.

After the job has been completed, you can specify that new Active Directory accounts should automatically become members of the AD group: Change group memberships

It is not possible to remove a group managed in KYDSO for reasons of consistency.
