KYDSO

Postponing the removal of an Active Directory account

For all employees who have left the company, the corresponding Active Directory accounts are first automatically deactivated and then permanently deleted from the Active Directory after a defined retention period.

You can customize the date for deleting an internal or external account as required.

This allows you to set an individual date for the deletion of an Active Directory account:
  1. Click on the Postpone removal action in the Change menu.

If this is not displayed in the menu, click on Other changes and select the action there.

The asset list opens. For performance reasons, this is empty the first time it is opened after starting KYDSO.

  2. Search for the desired account.

For example, enter the sAMAccountName of the account concerned in the Name field or the name of the employee who has left the company in the Service recipient field.

  3. Click on Search assets.

  4. Click on Postpone removal at the desired account.

The wizard for the selected action starts and guides you through the process.

Alternatively, you can first call up the Details and display the current information for the account.

The selected deletion date is then saved for the account and you can activate the account in the AD again if required.

If the selected date is before the previously planned deletion, no change will take place.

If the selected date is after the retention period for the associated person, it is also adopted for this person.
